So people ask me sometimes why I blog and honestly I’m not sure. I definitely enjoy writing, it’s almost therapeutic for me but I’m not going to lie, every time I start to write I wonder if anyone is going to read it!? Are they going to like what I have to say? Is what I’m saying even that great? I’m sure that I’m not the only one that has ever felt this way, but at what point do you get over it!?
Charleston is such a fun place to live and there is such a great presence of amazing bloggers here. I may or may not stalked a few of them and have had “pinch me” moments when I’ve seen them out…like calm down Sarah, they’re a blogger not a celebrity….BUT in my eyes they are like a celebrity because they have SO MANY followers!
My absolute favorite local blogger is Caycee Hewitt (Check out her Blog here) and I stalked (not in a creepy way) her so much and was finally able to meet her! I had her come into the store and she has featured us a few times on her blog (YAY!!!). We’ve gone to brunch and enjoyed some mimosas together and she was ultimately one of the reasons I started this blog. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect the first time I met her, but she is the sweetest most down to earth woman! I love her blog because she keeps it real and also features fashion that is affordable to main stream ladies (read….ME). She started her blog with a one word sentence and has grown it to something unimaginable!
I would love to one day reach where she has, but I know that it will take some time and I have SO much learn. The one thing I am struggling with is what to write about, I know at some point I’m going to have to have a “theme” to my blog but I don’t know what direction to go in. I want to keep it real, because let’s be for real….life with two kids isn’t always sunshine and roses no matter how many smiling faces are posted on My Instagram Account. I don’t ever want to come across as selling anything to my readers because I don’t want to make this all selling. I want to reach the masses while still remaining who I am. Yes, my family owns a women’s boutique and I will obviously feature clothing from there, but this blog isn’t about that. The store is very much a part of who I am and I know that all my friends LOVE the clothes from there and always tell me to post more outfit selfies but I just feel so weird doing that…ha ha!
So once again I’m all over the place (see I need to narrow it down and stop being so long winded) but I guess I want to find out what my readers (the like 10 that I have…lol) want to read? Do you like the real life stuff? Want some behind the scenes from the store? Want more outfit posts? Let me know, I would love to hear from you!
