I secretly look forward to this weekend every year…the annual Johnston Brothers Weekend. P and his brother always go to an away Panthers game each season, so that leaves me home with the girls and my bestie always comes down from Charlotte!
Yay for a girls weekend! I will say that we definitely packed a TON in this weekend, but we had SO much fun!
As y’all know, I joined Beautycounter last month, so we decided to have a Spa Night at the house on Fri. I had a handful of girlfriends come over and we drank wine, gabbed about everything, did charcoal masks and played with some make-up. I know the girls are going to kill me for posting this….but I can’t resist…lol…
There’s just something about being able to put on comfy clothes, take off your make up and relax with great friends. It was definitely needed after a long week and the best start to the weekend!
Oh and I guess I should mention that the AC stopped working in the house on Friday morning…and the earliest we can get it serviced is Tues…ugh.
Not gonna lie…Saturday morning was a tad rough for Jules and I, but we powered through it and got going (a little later than originally planned…ha ha), and Chick-fil-a for lunch definitely helped…lol. We took the girls to a local church’s pumpkin patch and they had so much fun running around looking at all the different sizes and shapes of the pumpkins. They each chose a teeny orange pumpkin (for their babies) and a small white one. SPJ picked a medium sized pumpkin, but said that we had to go back with Daddy to get a super big one because we needed his super strong muscles!
My mom got the girls the cute little minnie things for their pumpkins! They think they are the coolest, they both had to kiss them bye this morning on the way out of the door!
Sunday was kind of a relaxing day for us….MINUS THE PANTHERS GAME…ugh….WTH happened to the Super Bowl team from last year!? It’s so frustrating.
Jules and I headed out for some drinks and dinner downtown with Vicki…this mama needed a break! We went to the Rooftop at the Market Pavilion Hotel…wowzers! I can’t believe that I’ve been here 5 years and never gone up there before. It was absolutely beautiful and the drinks and food were delicious!
And then this morning…I went to make my normal breakfast (english muffin and peanut butter)…and none of the outlets in our Kitchen were working…so I went all McGiver…not really, but hey…I thought it was pretty genius!
So needless to say, yes I had an amazing girls weekend….BUT I’m ready for my Hubby to be back!
Happy Monday and hope y’all have a great week!
