No no no….not Britney Spears….although back in the day I was all about her…before she went weird.
But I did go too long without blogging AGAIN! Please don’t be mad…I think once you read what’s been going on the last couple weeks you’ll cut me some slack.
You see on Sept 1st I decided to become a consultant with Beautycounter, and I literally dove right in and haven’t stopped since (yes, still working full-time and doing the mom and wife thing…although I think hubs would agree that the wife thing has been missing a bit…sorry boo!). It has been so amazing and I love seeing the difference in my skin, as well as the girls and the hubs. I’m not going to go into here because I want to dedicate an entire blog to the amazingness that is this company!
We had our good friends from Charlotte come down to visit us for the weekend with their precious baby boy. The girls (especially SPJ) absolutely loved having him around. I wish she had of been that helpful when her sister was born, lol! It’s crazy that the second weekend in September we were able to go and spend the morning at the beach. Honestly – we could still do that now and it’s the end of Sept! I’m really, really, really, really ready for fall weather, there’s SO many cute sweaters sitting in my closet begging to be worn.
My little sis got married on Sept 17th in Charlotte so we headed up there for an extra long weekend. It was beautiful and I can’t wait to see the pictures! The service was held at Christ Church and the reception was at Myers Park Country Club. I will more than likely being doing a post about her wedding once all the professional pictures come in from their photographers (The Beautiful Mess). Here’s a sneak peak of SPJ and I walking down the aisle together (please note the small hand in the air behind us….that would be PKJ waving to everyone as she walked down the aisle…that child!):
It’s so scary to think that the following week all the riots were happening in our hometown. It didn’t seem real when we watched the footage on the news channels in Charleston. I absolutely love how our beautiful city came together in unity when we were faced with tragedy and I wish that other cities and their leaders could make that happen.
The following weekend I was given an amazing opportunity to have an exhibit space at The Southern Women’s Show in Charleston with Beautycounter, so I grabbed my mentor and director and we rocked out the 3 day show! We had a great time, made some great contacts and it really helped me to learn more about the amazing products. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
I’ve started to step outside of my comfort zone a little bit and actually start doing things to make this blog really grow. I participated in my first professional photoshoot last night! This picture was taken by Liz, who runs The Charleston Weekender Blog and Website and puts the monthly photoshoots together for local bloggers. I had so much fun and I’m so glad I did it! I’m already looking forward to the next one and can’t wait to work with Liz and Jennifer Collins (photog) again!
This weekend I’m doing the IOP Connector 10K race with my FiA girls…we thought we would be ready for it since we’re training for the relay race in March…turns out we’re not ready at all….so tomorrow morning should be interesting! ha ha. Hey at least there’s beer waiting for us at the end! When I get home from the race the hubs is heading up to Charlotte for a couple days to hang out with his brother. I’m planning on getting into bed at 7:30pm tomorrow and binge watching all my chick shows (Greys Anatomy, This is Us, Dance Moms, RHOC).
So there ya have it….why I’ve been gone. Pretty sure you could say I have over-extended myself this month…unfortunately I think October is going to be even worse….oh well!
I mean my blog is called My Coastal Chaos….so would you expect anything less!?
