People warned us that the day would come, but we never thought our sweet Sydney would turn into one of them…but low and behold, we have a 2 year old monster in our house now! Not quite sure what flipped the switch in her, but if anyone knows how to turn it off, please share…NOW!!!
She is definitely just like me in the morning (or all day, but I’m not willing to admit that I act like a 2 year old sometimes!), the poor girls takes about an hour to fully wake up and do NOT attempt to get her to do anything in that time other than lay on the couch with all her “friends” (Ellie, Gert, Cold & Minnie) and watch her iPad. Would it be frowned upon to give her coffee!? I’M KIDDING!!!!!! But it would really help her, ha ha!
We had her best-friends 3rd birthday party on Sunday and naturally she chose not to nap that day (doesn’t usually happen) so I was dreading how she was going to act since the party started at 4:00pm. Let’s just say it didn’t go so well at all, she wouldn’t let me put her down for the first 45 mins! Once the party was taken outside she ran around with the girls but if I wasn’t by her side it was a problem. She is usually Miss. Independent (again, me) so for her to be like this was definitely not normal. We headed back in for cupcakes and donuts which seemed to perk her up, but she still wouldn’t leave my side!
Poor girl definitely had a case of the Monday’s yesterday and once again didn’t nap! My fingers are crossed that I don’t get a text from her Daycare teacher today saying that she didn’t nap…I’m not sure there’s enough wine for Mommy and Daddy if she keeps it up!
PS – if you live in Charleston, definitely check out Teacups & Trucks for your kiddos birthday party! You literally show up with cake and snacks and they take care of the rest of it! YES PLEASE
